Village of Orland Park 2014 Property Tax Rebate Program
Overview

The Village of Orland Park Board of Trustees authorized a rebate of a portion of the 2013 property taxes paid to the Village of Orland Park in 2014 by owners of homes in which they currently reside.  Owners of single family homes, townhomes, residential condominium units and multi-unit apartment buildings will receive a partial rebate if all application requirements are met by the submittal deadline.  Owners of multi-unit apartment buildings must be living in one of the units to qualify for the rebate.

The total rebate approved for distribution to qualified applicants is $2,200,000.  The actual dollar amount of an individual applicant's rebate will be determined when all applications received by the due date have been processed.

How to Apply

Proof of Residency Documentation -
The following proof of residency documentation must be included with all submitted applications. On-line applicants will be unable to submit their application unless each of these items is attached to the application. All attachments should be converted to the smallest file size available in order to ensure the timely upload of all required documents. A paper application submitted without these documents will not be processed and will be returned to the applicant.
  • Copy of 2013 2nd installment property tax bill. Acceptable duplicate copies of property tax bills can be obtained from the Cook County Treasurer's website.
  • Copy of the front and back of an Illinois driver's license or state identification card with an Orland Park address.
  • Copy of most recent utility bill showing your name and address.  Acceptable bills include water, gas and electric.  Applicants who provide a Village of Orland Park water bill account number as requested below will not need to attach a copy of a recent utility bill.

Online -
Village residents who are eligible for the rebate are encouraged to submit an application online. Click here to complete an application.  All proof of residency documentation must be included with the online application.  Applications and proof of residency documentation must be received no later than Friday, December 12, 2014.

Applicants will be notified via email when their application is successfully submitted if a valid e-mail address is listed on the application.  Additional emails will be sent to the applicant when the application is approved, as well as if additional information is needed.

Applicants who choose to submit their applications via mail or hand delivery will not be notified that the Village has received and processed their application unless a valid e-mail address is provided on the application.
