Medicare
This MyMedicare.gov provides direct access to your Medicare benefits, eligibility, enrollment (including prescription drug plans) and preventative health information.

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
LIHEAP helps eligible low-income households pay for winter energy services. LIHEAP services are provided by local community action agencies or not-for-profit agencies throughout the state.

State of Illinois Handicapped Parking Placards
Temporary (up to six months) window handicapped parking placards may be obtained at the Secretary of State’s Office, Monday - Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, in the Board Room of the Village Hall at 14700 Ravinia Avenue.

Circuit Breaker & Pharmaceutical Assistance Program
This Circuit Breaker Program may provide a yearly grant for relief from property tax, mobile home tax, rent, or nursing home charges to qualifying seniors and disabled persons. Eligible participants are also entitled to receive one reduced license plate sticker. Pharmaceutical Assistance helps to pay for approved prescription medications.

Exemptions
Cook County homeowners may take advantage of several valuable property-tax-saving exemptions. There are currently four exemptions that must be applied for or renewed annually:
  • The Homeowner Exemption
  • Senior Citizen Homestead exemption
  • Senior Citizen Assessment Freeze Exemption
  • Home Improvement Exemption
